Tasmanian Blackwood, which has wonderful inbuilt natural characteristics, with a natural colouring of dark to golden browns and occasional wavy patterns or straight black streaks that enhance the look and appearance of the Astra Furniture range. Our furniture is finished with a clear lacquer, highlighting the beauty of the Blackwood timber grains, colour and overall appearance.
Tasmanian Oak is a warm, dense and highly resilient hardwood and is coloured from pale straw to light pinkish brown. The natural warmth and beauty of Tasmanian Oak enhances the look and character of the furniture. Tasmanian Oak can be enhanced with a variety of stains, allowing it to be easily matched with existing furnishings.
American White Oak has a light blonde colour and is very similar to European Oak. It has an attractive grain, the timber is durable and hard, and is easy to finish and stain. American White Oak is perfect for furniture making with its colouring and grain, the furniture having a subtle and elegant appearance.
